Destinations for the travel trade
Balkan destinations for travel agencies and tour operators
travellige is a Sarajevo-based, trade-only DMC that handles ground arrangements for foreign travel agencies and tour operators across Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Balkans. These destination guides are written for the trade: why each place sells, when to go, how long to stay and how to combine it.

Sarajevo-based, Balkans-wide
Most Balkan ground handlers are anchored in one capital and sell their own country first. We are based in Sarajevo, in the middle of the region: the Adriatic coast at Dubrovnik is about four and a half hours away by coach, and Belgrade, Podgorica, Zagreb and Split are all within a day's drive. That geography is why we can put Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, North Macedonia, Kosovo and Slovenia into one itinerary, one contract and one invoice.
The destination pages below are written for the people who build and sell programmes, not for travellers. Each one covers why the place sells, the highlights worth putting in a brochure, the best season for groups, how many nights to plan, how it combines with neighbouring countries, and which airports to use. The DMC pages cover how we operate in each country: suppliers, guides, contracting and logistics.

Questions agents ask about Balkan destinations
Which Balkan countries can you handle under one contract?
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, North Macedonia, Kosovo and Slovenia. You sign one contract with travellige, receive one invoice and deal with one operations contact, even when the group crosses several borders.
Is Sarajevo a practical base for a multi-country Balkans tour?
Yes. Sarajevo sits in the centre of the region, with direct flights from Istanbul, Frankfurt, Vienna, Zurich, Belgrade and Zagreb, and the Adriatic coast within about four and a half hours by coach. Many circuits start in Sarajevo or Belgrade and finish in Dubrovnik, Kotor or Skopje.
When is the best time to send groups to the Balkans?
April to June and September to October are the best windows for most coach groups: mild weather, good flight choice and better hotel availability than in July and August. Sarajevo works year-round, including December city breaks and winter ski programmes.
Do you sell to travellers directly?
No. travellige is trade-only. We work for travel agencies, tour operators and MICE planners, who sell to their own clients under their own brand.
