Ground handling, not spiritual direction
Medjugorje receives pilgrims from many countries throughout the year. Most groups come with their own organiser and a priest or spiritual director. What they need locally is dependable logistics: the right hotel close to the church, a coach waiting at the airport, a schedule that fits the parish programme and a calm plan B when a flight is late.
That is what we provide. We do not offer spiritual guidance and we leave the content of the pilgrimage to you and your group leader. Requests for group Masses or for use of parish facilities are made with the parish, and we help with timing and transport around the schedule the parish confirms.
Getting groups to Medjugorje
| Gateway | How groups use it | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Mostar (OMO) | The closest airport; a short coach transfer | Croatia Airlines from Zagreb year-round; in 2026 Sky Alps flew seasonal routes from Rome, Bari, Milan Bergamo and Palermo (late May to early October) |
| Mostar, charter flights | Irish pilgrimage charters | Croatia Airlines charters from Dublin operated in spring to autumn 2026 for Irish pilgrimage operators |
| Split (SPU) | Large seasonal network, popular with pilgrim groups | About 2 to 2.5 hours by road, with a border crossing |
| Dubrovnik (DBV) | Seasonal European and some long-haul flights | About 2 to 2.5 hours by road, with a border crossing |
| Sarajevo (SJJ) | Year-round hub connections; suits groups combining Sarajevo | About 2.5 to 3 hours by road |
| Zagreb (ZAG) | Entry for long-haul and Korean groups combining Croatia | Connect by air to Mostar or Split, or travel overland |
Seasonal and charter flights change from year to year; the 2027 schedules were not confirmed when this page was written (last checked: October 2026). Polish groups should note that LOT's Warsaw–Sarajevo route is summer-only from 2027.

Questions from pilgrimage operators
Who can handle ground arrangements for a Medjugorje pilgrimage group?
travellige is a trade-only DMC that handles hotels, transfers, coaches, guides and day trips for pilgrimage operators in Medjugorje, at net rates and with a 24/7 operations contact.
Which airport is best for Medjugorje?
Mostar is the closest. Split and Dubrovnik are about 2 to 2.5 hours away by road and have more flights in season. We plan the transfer from whichever airport suits your flights.
Can you arrange a Mass for our group?
Group Masses and use of parish facilities are arranged with the parish. We help the group leader plan the day and transport around the times the parish confirms.
Can you help pilgrims with limited mobility?
Yes. We choose hotels close to the church, arrange vehicles for short distances and plan alternatives to the hill walks, which are on rocky paths.
Can we add Dubrovnik or Sarajevo to the pilgrimage?
Yes. Both work well as extensions, and we include them in the same contract.
