Why this programme sells

This is the combination most first-time Balkan buyers ask for: the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian heart of Sarajevo, the Old Bridge of Mostar, the walls of Dubrovnik and the fjord-like Bay of Kotor. Clients see four very different places in eight days, and none of the drives is longer than about three hours.

Starting in Sarajevo and ending on the coast means one-way travel with no backtracking, and it uses Sarajevo's year-round hub flights for arrival. Operators already selling Dubrovnik can use it to add a strong inland component to their Croatia programmes.

FAQ

Do Turkish, Chinese or Saudi groups need a visa for this tour?

Possibly for two legs. Croatia is in the Schengen area, and from 1 November 2026 Montenegro has announced visa requirements for Turkish, Chinese and Saudi citizens. For these markets we can offer a version that ends in Dubrovnik, or that replaces Croatia and Montenegro with a Bosnia and Serbia route. Visa rules change; last checked: October 2026.

Can the tour run in reverse, from Dubrovnik to Sarajevo?

Yes. Arriving in Dubrovnik and departing from Sarajevo works well, and Kotor can be done as a day trip from Dubrovnik.

Why not stay on the coast at Neum between Mostar and Dubrovnik?

It is possible, but routing via Metković and the Pelješac Bridge, or via Trebinje, keeps the group to one border crossing on the way to Dubrovnik.

Can you add Medjugorje?

Yes. Medjugorje is about 30 minutes from Mostar and fits easily into day 4.

Can you handle cruise passengers or pre- and post-cruise stays?

Yes. The Dubrovnik and Kotor days can be built around cruise arrivals, and the programme works as a pre- or post-cruise extension.
